Avalon and Beyond!

A place stumbled upon by synchronistic chance in the mid winter, I have been blessed to experience 3 seasons here.

A town that doesn’t make sense until you really live it, ‘The Gateway to the underworld’ a place where wizards, fairies, dragons and elves all reside.
Woodland Mural, Bove Town
With folk walking around in velvet capes like they mean it, medieval reenactment actually living it, lovers of Mary Magdalene and Jesus, Goddess retreats in their droves, Celts and druids and a real connection to land, lore and ancient times.
Crystals on the walls at The Glastonbury Experience
There’s nowhere else that could hold together this melting ‘witches cauldron’ pot of tribes and for it to actually feel *real*?!

Moving to a new place to me always holds a sense of death and rebirth, a shedding of the me that has gone before, whilst embracing into the new version of me, always inspired by my surroundings.

From this journey ---
I’ve had a long desire to create with velvet, but never quite been ‘there’ for it - nothing like a winter in Glastonbury to fully immerse myself in the feeling this emerges! I decided to create this in a stretch for ease of comfort and versatility of design and uses, discovering some amazing crushed colours - perfect for creating the much anticipated flares with! I also decided to go all in and do a whole range of tops, shorts and cute panties - something for all weathers and seasons, in the fav key colours of blue, pink, yellow and orange.
EARTHEN DESIGNS
Within a lil interlude of Spring between collections I dug out some fabrics from my archive of treasures, a green batik cotton which I’ve had for 12 years - it's featured as the lining to the FOLK velvet boleros, and having bought a roll of this sumptuous fabric back in the day, I never knew what to do with the extra - the Earthy hues of Glastonbury were the perfect occasion for it - I have created a limited run of wrap skirts, with only a slight overlap at the front to create a slinky front left slit, neatly covering yet in true W+S style surprisingly revealing in one swift stride :)
I also managed to dip into an unfinished collection of leather tops from India, which were in need of some Bollywood sparkly bling in a festival style fashion - now with additions of metallic ribbons, lace, colourful ties and fun linings , they are completely one off pieces that can’t be redone - they look absolutely amazing for Summer (especially with a pair of velvet flares!) and have nearly all flown outDEVI Leather Halter Top
FLORAL HEADDRESSES
Inspired by the Springtime celebrations of Beltane, seeing all the beautiful flowers in hair, and the woodland feels of Glastonbury and green ol’ England -
Digging the hole for the Beltane Maypole
- it seemed only natural to create a new collection of headdresses, often something I do as a lil side quest, having skipped a year prior, it felt time to create something new for this Summer's accessories - giant flowers on headbands with cascading pearls; and hair wreaths with hanging ribbons - a continuation from my launch collection at Wilderness 2023 - these are now made ready for a Summer of celebrations - a great hit at Solstice and the local Pilton Pop Fest!
SOLSTICE
Sunrise view from Glastonbury Tor
After enjoying peak Summer Solstice celebrations with friends, enjoying live music and watching the sunrise, I also had the opportunity to hold a week long Pop up shop on the High St, where I met so many of you lovely people, help curate you some beautiful outfits and choose some beautiful items as gifts for loved ones!
The pop up cove of delights :)
With the Summer in full swing I began working on the cottons and linens - our fabrics from Bali that nod towards sun, sea, sandy beaches and tropical destinations - these creations will be going with me to Australia later in the year and then new colours will be debuting in the fields next year!
Other classic pieces in the Summer Collection that will be going with to Aus are the ULUWATU tops and panties - these are a great structured shape for swimwear or activewear and team perfectly with the BLISS cotton plant dye kaftans - worn together the are ideal for holidays and days on the beach
Uluwatu Bikini Top - Nude
I will also be converting our all time favourite - the kimono - into these gorgeous Winter coats, made with mid weight repurposed blanket fabrics, these are gorgeous for feeling wrapped up and cosy whilst in the colder Autumn/Winter days - these are a limited run whilst I am away so be sure to get yours and stay warm this Winter!
...AND BEYOND!
So see you whilst I’m here - if not, see you in a field or another destination, somewhere on this beautiful planet!! <3
